Welcome to the home of Daisy Sew! My name is Sarah and I teach dressmaking and sewing in East Sussex.
I have always had a passion for Textiles and fabrics. Initially inspired by my A'Level Art teacher, I went on to study Textile Design at Leeds University. After graduating I decided that I wanted to pass on my skills and enthusiasm for my subject to others, so I trained as a secondary school teacher. I taught GCSE and A'level Textiles in secondary schools for 10 years before relocating to Sussex to bring up my 2 wonderful boys. With the help of my talented husband, 'Daisysew' was born in 2014, named after my beautiful Nanny.
I see my workshops as a form of therapy for all ages of people to come together, learn from each other and make friends. I have strong ethical values so waste is kept to a minimum with fabric scraps used for smaller projects. I enjoy the opportunities I have been given to work with all sorts of people and to make a difference.Â
